Please help the Marquette City Band and the Marquette Choral Society!

In July of 2017 members of the Marquette City Band and the Marquette Choral Society will perform in Finland to celebrate the centennial of Finnish independence. Approximately 90 musicians from both ensembles plan to attend this centennial tour and will be led by Choral Society Director Dr. Erin Colwitz and City Band Director Dr. Stephen Grugin. Both groups will begin their trip by performing in Helsinki. Then the centerpiece of their tour will be a performance in Marquette’s Sister City of Kajaani, strengthening that relationship and experiencing Finnish culture and music first-hand. The Marquette City Band will perform in other cities such as Lieksa, Kuopio, and Turku while the Marquette Choral Society will go on to perform in other cities throughout Finland.

We need your help to make this international tour a reality! Please click here to print a gift form. We appreciate any assistance you or your organization can provide! Please mail the completed form to the address listed on the form.
